About
Dana Ollestad is a Cuban-American multi-media artist and educator. He works with lens and time-based media, installation, performance, and utilizes field recordings, found sounds, and hand-built light-sensitive microphones. He co-curated Sediment Art Space in Richmond, VA for 6 years, and is the recipient of the Virginia Museum of Fine Art Fellowship. He is an adjunct professor at Virginia Commonwealth University, in Richmond Virginia, and Western Washington University, Bellingham Washington.
キューバ系アメリカ人のマルチメディア・アーティストであり、教育者でもある。レンズやタイムベースのメディア、インスタレーション、パフォーマンス、フィールド・レコーディング、手製の感光マイクなどを用いて作品を制作している。ヴァージニア州リッチモンドのセディメント・アート・スペースを6年間共同運営し、ヴァージニア美術館フェローシップを受賞。現在は東京を拠点に制作活動とパフォーマンスをおこなっている。
